UNICEF is the United Nations Children’s Fund, even though it originally stood for the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund. It was developed in the mid-1940s to help children in Europe, China, and the Middle East that were struck by war.

UNICEF is an advocate for children’s rights, and it provides basic needs for them. UNICEF promotes equal rights of women and girls so they can participate fully in the development of their community. It also responds to emergencies that protect children. This organization is non-partisan, and its help is based on the greatest need.
UNICEF

It acts to make a safe and healthy environment for children by immunizing children against common childhood diseases. UNICEF also works to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS. It is involved in 157 countries worldwide, and its mission is to improve the life of every child and have peace. Learn more about their organization at www.unicef.org.
